The elastic baby wrap sling is made of high-quality stretchy cotton jersey and combined with stunning African prints, that I had bought in Ghana. AfriKatja baby wrap carriers are inspired by my deep interactions with many mothers in different societies within Africa, but especially among the Dagomba of Northern Ghana.

From an evolutionary perspective, humans are a "carrying" species - meaning we have always kept our babies close. In Global South, especially in Africa, carrying babies on mothers' backs is as ordinary as using strollers in Western societies.
