Bolga baskets are one of the most known products of Ghana🇬đź‡. They are traditionally and ethically handwoven in a town called Bolgatanga in Northern part of Ghana.
Every basket is unique with its own pattern. This "round basket" can be used as a shopping basket, as well as a storage basket or decor in your home.
Men, and mostly women, use solely natural materials for weaving:
- elephant grass
- plant and fruits as natural dyes
- leather for more durable handles
With purchasing this or any other Bolga basket in my shop, you are contributing 5% to iHelp Africa's project 'One girl, one box'. More about this wonderful project:
The purpose of the “One girl, one box” project is to help provide teenage girls in deprived
communities with sanitary pads in order to reduce absenteeism in schools. Access
to pads means many of these young women will stay healthy and stay in school.
Continuing their education ensures a brighter future for their whole family. Young
women’s education is often the springboard for the entire family to break out of
poverty. Our target is to constantly provide 2000 girls in rural schools with sanitary
pads, we currently have a data base of 615 girls we constantly provide pads to each
month in the Volta region of Ghana. In Ghana 95% of girls have reported missing
school due to menstruation. With many people experiencing financial hardship due
to the pandemic, we have ensured that our girls do not experience the impact of
period.
Delivery time for all baskets is 1-4 business days, depending on your location.

I completely fell in love with this sweater, the kente patterns bring the perfect touch of style, exoticism and elegance! Seeing the photos of the model, I was afraid that the sleeves are too short and do not reach the wrists but the length is perfect, I measure about 1m75 and I took a size M. The seller Katja is very nice professional, providing good advice and high quality work, so don't hesitate to order! I was even surprised that the delivery time was respected despite the current corona crisis Again thank you Katja!
En voyant les photos du modèle, j'avais peur que les manches soient trop courtes et n'arrivent pas aux poignets mais la longueur est parfaite, je mesure environ 1m75 et j'ai pris une taille M.
At ANKA, we do not believe in the myth of predefined sizes. Each body is different and deserves an outfit just as unique. Therefore, to use this guide, we recommend using your measurements in inches (as explained below) rather than the "4 to 22" sizes.
From there you can select the corresponding international size for your order, and each seller will then be able to make sure to send the PERFECT fit for YOU!
