For a really long time I knew I wanted to have my own business. As a kid when people asked me what I wanted to be with I grow up my answer was always “A business Woman”. Fast forward many years later a business fell I to my lap. One day I was out and my waist beads was showing accidentally. One girl saw them and asked where I purchased them. Well I had purchased them from West African (Ivory Coast, Abidjan) my hometown. But I had another set so I told her I sell them. We arranged a meeting I sold her 3 waist beads for $15. That was the beginning of Classy Baya. I than took those $15 purchased more materials and started making waist beads myself. To me this was perfect it combined two things that I loved: sharing my culture with the world + business. I have a special love for this business because everything that are sold here either made by my own hands or made by an African artisans. Everything you purchase here helps an African artisan put food on their family table. With this business I am able to show people that in Africa we can make things too, in Africa we can are creative too. Add a little culture to your life. Add a little Classybaya to your life.
