Kwelaku, a brand created by the talented Nigerian fashion designer Victoria Chikweluaku Anosike, is a women’s clothing line that takes pride in its use of indigenous prints and silhouettes to create pieces that are both functional and forever. The brand’s designs embody a perfect blend of style and functionality, resulting in timeless pieces that can withstand the test of time in terms of both fashion and durability. With its chic and functional silhouettes, Kwelaku is a perfect choice for women who seek to look their best in indigenous clothing without compromising on comfort. We aim to do our part in sharing the African story through our prints and pieces; while striving to give our customers a luxury brand experience and our employees an enjoyable working environment. The Kwelaku woman’s passion for African culture and craftsmanship runs deep. She has a keen eye for indigenous clothing that highlights the unique and beautiful aspects of African heritage. She appreciates the intricate details and workmanship that goes into making them, and takes great pleasure in wearing pieces that reflect her proud African roots. Kwelaku was started as Kancky, a tribal tunic line started from my campus room back in 2014, styling mostly family and friends. The brand has now evolved into a full-fledged womenswear label, operating out of her Lagos HQ and adorning women from all walks of life and most parts of the world. After completing several training programs and gaining a certain level of clarity, we rebranded into Kwelaku in 2019 which is coined from my middle name (Chikweluaku) and means “abundance”. Being inspired by my immediate environment (Nigeria) and the African continent as a whole, the brand’s essence is finally captured in this identity because I not only want the Kwelaku woman to experience but also exude the beauty of this rich culture whose story we aim to tell. My creativity, resilience, and curiosity are the core traits that shape my journey. They enable me to stay innovative, overcome challenges, and remain dedicated to continuous growth, all of which are essential for the success of my brand in the ever-changing fashion industry. My vision is to keep impacting the community positively through sustainable collaborations that showcase culture & craftsmanship for many generations to come.

Wow! It is so so so well made 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾. The material is of the highest quality and the seams are invisible! 😍 I also realised that it is reversible too; the material lining the dress is so lush, and the fringe is firmly attached, so it doesn’t shed. Additionally, the customer service and communication is spectacular. I had such a pleasant experience, so I ordered another dress. 😍🤩 Highly recommend 🙂

everything was great! the outfit is beeaautiful. it's heavier than I thought (though still lovely. soft material) so it's perhaps more summer evening vibes or for a slightly cooler day
