My name is Akua Ofosuhene and my business is My Local Dressmaker. I am a dressmaker and curator of handmade fashion, craft and art by global artisans. I have a passion for traditional craft from around the world. From Fulani jewellery, to African print kimonos, to shea butter based skin care, cushions from Mexico and blankets from India.
Handmade craftmanship is a connection to the ancestors and tradition and its my goal to keep these crafts alive and relevant.
Weared and personalized items will not be exchanged or refunded.
Return shipping fees are at your charge and not refunded.
Refunds are made on your ANKA virtual wallet. You can use the credit to buy another product or transfer the amount to your bank account.

UK DELIVERY & TIMES
Standard UK Delivery – FREE on all item and delivered within 3 to 5 working days.
All UK orders are shipped with DPD or UK Mail and trackable. No delivery on Bank Holidays.
Please note during holidays processing may take slightly longer.
PROCESSING TIME
All orders are subject to processing time that is separate and apart from the time it takes for a shipment to reach its destination once it has been picked up from our fulfilment center by the applicable carrier. Depending on a number of factors, standard domestic and international orders may take up to 3 business days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays) to process. During sale period the processing time can increase to up to 5 working days. Made to measure orders can take 7 to 10 days, but you will be notified of exact making times within 24 hours of us receiving your order.
After your payment is authorized and verified, standard orders can still take 2 to 4 business days to process. This is just an estimate and doesn't include weekends or holidays.
Shipping fees
Our shipping fees are free to all domestic customers. If you refuse any shipments from mylocaldressmaker.com, you will be held responsible for the cost of returning the package to us. Our original shipping fees will be deducted from any credit issued.
