Sulada is a store that was created by a group of 18 female heads of households who previously lived by collecting sand. We make and sell  rugs for home decoration, handbags  and wallets for women and children in Cisal, a plant that grows spontaneously in Cape Verde. We also have cosmetics made from  medicinal plants such as aloe vera and  the purgueira (soaps that have moisturizing properties and treat skin infections and also dandruff gel). We also make traditional rag dolls with typical Cape Verdean women's clothing.
