'Shekina Kente Fabrics is a small family business that produces hand woven fabrics to the highest of standards. All the way from Accra, Ghana, each piece of Kente fabric has taken hours of expert craftsmanship to ensure that each pattern not only captures the attention of all who see it but embodies within it the beautiful poetry that Kente is known to carry.
The origins of Kente fabric has been pinpointed to the Volta region of Ghana though today, both Volta and Ashanti regions are known for producing this Regal fabric. Kente clothing is usually worn in marriage ceremonies, festivals and other special occasions and is often associated with royalty as it is most commonly worn by senior Royals.
